Biography
Aran Cosentino is an Italian artist and photographer.
Raised in the Natisone Valleys, from childhood he has nurtured a deep passion for art and beauty, inherited from his father and paternal grandfather.
During elementary school, he participated in his first short films, making his debut in 2008 at the age of six as a co-protagonist in TG Natale.
At fourteen, in 2016, he began actively working to protect the Alberone stream, promoting an awareness campaign against the construction of an unsustainable hydroelectric plant at the foot of Mount Matajur. Thanks to the collection of over a thousand signatures and the mobilization of public opinion, the project was permanently withdrawn by the proposing company in 2018.
At sixteen, he won the award for Best Photography at the TuttoMondo Contest 2018 organized by Save the Children Italy, presented to him by Letizia Battaglia in Palermo.
In 2021, by creating the short film TUTTO e NIENTE, he graduated from the Giovanni Sello Art High School in Udine, specializing in audiovisual and multimedia.
In addition to collaborating with renowned director of photography Peter Zeitlinger, he participated in the Venice International Photo Festival as an assistant photographer. In 2023, he assisted Arthur Hubert Legrand in a workshop on female nudes; in 2024, he supported Reza Deghati in a portrait workshop; and in 2025, he assisted Stefan Rappo, specializing in authentic portraiture.
He met internationally renowned photography masters, including Steve McCurry, Sebastião Salgado, Yann Arthus-Bertrand, Oliviero Toscani, Michael Kenna, and Jane Evelyn Atwood.
In 2025, with a thesis on Carl Gustav Jung's concept of the Shadow, he graduated with highest honors from the Bachelor's Degree in Multimedia Arts at the Academy of Fine Arts of Venice.

Biografia
Aran Cosentino è un artista e fotografo italiano.
Cresciuto nelle Valli del Natisone, fin dall'infanzia ha coltivato una profonda passione per l'arte e la bellezza, ereditata dal padre e dal nonno paterno.
Durante la scuola elementare, ha partecipato ai suoi primi cortometraggi, esordendo nel 2008 a sei anni come co-protagonista nel TG Natale.
A quattordici anni, nel 2016, ha iniziato a impegnarsi attivamente per la tutela del torrente Alberone, promuovendo una campagna di sensibilizzazione contro la realizzazione di un impianto idroelettrico non sostenibile ai piedi del Monte Matajur. Grazie alla raccolta di oltre mille firme e alla mobilitazione dell'opinione pubblica, nel 2018 il progetto è stato ritirato definitivamente dalla ditta proponente.
A sedici anni, ha vinto il premio per la miglior fotografia al concorso nazionale TuttoMondo Contest 2018 di Save the Children Italia, consegnatogli da Letizia Battaglia a Palermo.
Nel 2021, realizzando il cortometraggio TUTTO e NIENTE, si è diplomato presso il Liceo Artistico Giovanni Sello di Udine, specializzandosi in audiovisivo e multimediale.
Oltre ad aver collaborato con il rinomato direttore della fotografia Peter Zeitlinger, ha partecipato al Venezia International Photo Festival come assistente fotografo. Nel 2023 ha affiancato Arthur Hubert Legrand in un workshop sul nudo femminile, nel 2024 ha supportato Reza Deghati in un workshop sul ritratto, e nel 2025 ha assistito Stefan Rappo, specializzandosi nel ritratto autentico.
Ha incontrato maestri della fotografia di fama internazionale, tra cui Steve McCurry, Sebastião Salgado, Yann Arthus-Bertrand, Oliviero Toscani, Michael Kenna e Jane Evelyn Atwood.
Nel 2025, con una tesi sul concetto di Ombra di Carl Gustav Jung, ha conseguito con 110 e lode il Diploma Accademico di Primo Livello in Arti Multimediali presso l'Accademia di Belle Arti di Venezia.
